Industrial trials 8 ongoing, 3 pending
This year, we began industrial trials with Finnish food companies and had the opportunity to collaborate with a few companies from the US and the Netherlands. Currently, 8 trials are ongoing, examining how our ingredient performs across various food applications in industry. Additionally, 3 more trials are being prepared to start at the beginning of next year 2025. These projects are proving to provide valuable insights and feedback as we work toward securing our first customer.
Tempo Funding from Business Finland
During the summer, we received €60,000 in Tempo funding from Business Finland. This support has enabled us to explore international opportunities and better understand our market potential. Following this, we decided to bootstrap for the remainder of the year to strengthen our position ahead of our pre-seed raising phase planned for next spring.
First hiring, team completed
In August, we officially welcomed Aizea Arce to our team after three months of collaboration. With a strong corporate background, experience across various industries, and the accomplishment of founding two companies, her expertise in Business and Marketing perfectly complements our science-focused founding team, strengthening our foundation for growth.
Tech Nordic Advocates Accelerator
We’re thrilled to announce our acceptance into the Tech Nordic Advocates Accelerator! As part of this program, we gain access to a global network of industry-leading mentors and peers. This milestone is helping us to refine our vision, perfect our roadmap, and prepare for investment as we continue driving our growth forward.
But that’s not all!
This year has been full of events and opportunities. At the start of the year, we wrapped up the Nexus Incubator program by pitching and sharing product samples at their Demo Day, gaining valuable knowledge and new connections. In May, we took part in VõisteHackathon in Pärnu, working on tomato by-product utilization and benefiting from great mentoring.
Throughout the year, we were selected for pitching competitions, including Tonic, the Nordic Fe:male Invest Summit in Malmö and Female Founder Pitching Day in Helsinki, and had the chance to share our story at Biosphere Incubator and Helsinki Think Company events. We were also present in events like Arctic15, Tonic, and Slush, meeting investors and growing our network.
To top it off, we joined the Valio Food 2.0 Ecosystem to explore new collaboration opportunities in the food industry.
